What did they need?
Chiltern Valley needed a fully integrated booking and e-commerce system to streamline their customer experience. At the time, visitors had to navigate between two separate platforms—one for booking B&B stays and events and another for winery and brewery tours, creating confusion for those wanting to combine experiences.
They also required a flexible booking system that could automatically block out rooms and tour availability when the venue was booked for weddings or private events.
To enhance convenience and sales, the new system needed to:
✔ Seamlessly integrate with experience day voucher providers (Red Letter Days, Virgin Experiences, etc.)
✔ Allow for upselling during the booking process, encouraging guests to add wines, gifts, and experiences
✔ Provide a robust online shop for selling their craft beers, wines, specialty foods, and gift vouchers
With these requirements in mind, Chiltern Valley needed a powerful, all-in-one solution that combined hospitality bookings, experience management, and e-commerce in a seamless way.

✔ Easily add extras to their stay, such as pre-chilled wine in their room or a set-menu evening meal
✔ Handle complex booking rules, automatically blocking out accommodation and tours when the venue is booked for private events
For their e-commerce needs, we implemented Kontrolit’s high-performance shop module, creating an attractive and conversion-focused online store. The shop showcases Chiltern Valley’s premium wines, beers, gifts, and experience vouchers, using a clean layout, high-quality images, and a seamless, secure checkout to maximise sales.
